Description:
Placer County Systems of Care in collaboration with the Campaign for Community Wellness is pleased to offer Clinical Supervision Training for professionals licensed with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. This 15 hour workshop will present on necessary supervision information and its use in practical application, including both the cognitive and affective processes between the supervisor and supervisee. The training format will include didactic learning, group discussion, and live supervision. Completion of this course is a requirement for Clinical Supervisors to be able to provide individual and group supervisions to interns and trainees collecting hours for licensure as an LPCC, LMFT, and/or LCSW.
Objective:
1. Participants will be able to discuss the purpose of clinical supervision and BBS requirements;

2. Participants will be able to assess the developmental levels of supervisees and the corresponding characteristics of supervisors;

3. Participants will be able to identify and interpret the learning and processing styles of both supervisee and supervisor;

4. Participants will be able to apply the direct correlation between theoretical orientation and supervisory input; and

5. Participants will be able to identify the understanding of group processes and apply leadership style.


Intended Audience:
This course is for clinical professionals licensed with the BBS who are or intend to be clinical supervisors. Licensure must be held for a minimum of 2 years in addition to requirements outlined in §1821, §1833.1 and §1870 of the BBS Statutes and Regulations.  In order to provide supervision to all BBS disciplines, the prospective supervisor must complete an initial 15 hour training and 6 hour training every renewal period thereafter.
Session Notes:
Attendees are required to sign in upon their arrival and sign out at the completion of the training. Within two weeks of the training date, attendees will be able to login to their eLearning account and print out their Certificate/CEUs from the ‘My Certificates’ tab on the website menu. Please note the number of course credits does not include the time allotted for registering or taking lunch and breaks. Attendees who fail to sign out will not be given credit. Partial credit is not offered.
